A Complex Weave

The HUB-Robeson Galleries will showcase the exhibition A Complex Weave in the Robeson Gallery from September 27 through December 4.

A Complex Weave reveals the provocative impact of earlier Feminist art and its ongoing vitality for later generations around the world. This exhibition examines how a number of contemporary women artists of backgrounds that vary in terms of ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation and other aspects of individuality have woven threads of their own sense of self into their work.

A Complex Weave spans the mediums of drawing, painting, sculpture and photography and can be understood as interfaces between the external world that exists outside the female body politic and the internal personal realm of self.

Please visit The HUB-Robeson Galleries Facebook page to ask any questions or post any comments to the "A Complex Weave" discussion.

Any schools/courses interested in bringing a class to the exhibit may contact the galleries at 814-865-2563 to make arrangements.
