Graduate Assistant

Chaunece Reed is a graduate assistant for the Liberal Arts’ Africana Research Center (ARC). She is a dual-titled Ph.D. student in English and African American and Diaspora studies. As a 20th and 21st-century literary scholar, Chaunece’s research focuses on the relationship between capitalism and Black women’s communal dynamics and, further, on what this relationship lends to their quality of life.

At the ARC, she provides assistance with event planning and programming. Additionally, she conducts research in support of the center’s initiatives while working closely with the director.
